In a trail, which was conducted on 15 patients suffering from Primary Osteoarthritis Grade 3 and Grade 4, bone marrow was obtained from posterior ileac crest of the patients (autologous) was processed under cGMP conditions in class 100 clean room and AuBMSCs were introduced into articular space via arthroscopy. 

• OA-related pain was evaluated based on the modified Western Ontario and McMaster University Arthritis index (WOMAC)
• Cartilage volume was evaluated by cartilage mapping using MRI.
• All reported results were obtained pre-treatment, and at 6 months post-treatment.

The results were evaluated based on Pain, Walking distance, Stiffness, X-Ray findings and MRI. It was found that there was * cartilage regeneration and Patellofemoral pain relief in 13 of the 15 patients recruited in the clinical trial. In 2 patients there was no change in their condition.
